Corporate History

1970 Haruhide Morita, at the age of 18, joined a Japanese tea wholesale based in Uji.
He won the 17th National Tea Quality Judging Skills Competition and was awarded by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
1975 Morita established a Japanese tea store, MORITAEN (operating while he was working for the wholesale at the same time).
1981 Morita won the 28th National Tea Quality Judging Skills Competition and was awarded by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

1987 Morita left the Japanese tea wholesale in Uji.
1992 Morita won the 39th National Tea Quality Judging Skills Competition and was awarded by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.

1993 Morita established MORITAEN Co., Ltd.

1994 Morita obtained the highest grade of tea quality judging skills, 9th grade.
2015 Hideki Morita joined MORITAEN (at the age of 31).
2018 Hideki Morita obtained the 3rd grade of tea quality judging skills.
2020 A café, Chaso MORITAEN, was opened in the supervision of Haruhide Morita.(Six cafés throughout Japan)
